Brasil Kirin is a beverage company that is part of a global group with over 46,000 employees worldwide and present in more than 15 countries. A Subsidiary of Kirin Holdings Company, the Brasil Kirin brands are distributed by 20 of its own distribution centers and an additional 190 retailers to supply some 600,000 points of sale throughout Brazil.

With an extensive portfolio of products, including beers, soft drinks, juices, energy drink and waters, the company has 13 factory units in 11 different Brazilian states.

  • 1939

    Start of activities in Itu, countryside of São Paulo state, with the production of the Itubaína soft drink, which is part of the company’s portfolio until today. At his small factory located in the backyard of his own home, the company’s founder Primo Schincariol also produced cacao liquor, gooseberry liquor, cinchona wine (low-proof wine, to which cinchona is added) and anisete (aniseed flavored liquor).

  • 1966

    Transfer of the former factory to the site that currently serves as its head office, also located in Itu, São Paulo.

  • 1977

    Start of large-scale soft drink production.

  • 1989

    Launch of the first beer, called Schincariol.

  • 1993

    Launch of Schin soft drinks in PET packaging.

  • 1997

    Inauguration of the second factory unit in Alagoinhas (Bahia). Launch of the mineral water line.

  • 2000

    Inauguration of the factory unit in Cachoeiras de Macacu (Rio de Janeiro).

  • 2002

    Launch of the Skinka line, a blended fruit juice beverage, and the beer Primus. Inauguration of the Caxias factory (Maranhão).

  • 2003

    Launch of Nova Schin to replace the Pilsen Schincariol beer. In that same year, the soft drinks Schin Tônica, Schin Citrus and the beer Primus are launched in the market. In the meantime, the company continues to expand: Inauguration of factory units in Alexânia (Goiana), Recife (Pernambuco) and Manaus (Amazonas).

  • 2005

    Launch of the Mini Schin line of soft drinks and inauguration of the Igrejinha (Rio Grande do Sul) and Benevides (Pará) factories.

  • 2007

    Acquisition of the Devassa brand and the Baden Baden Units in Campos de Jordão (São Paulo), in addition to the factory in Igarassu (Pernambuco).
    Inauguration of the Horizonte Unit (Ceará).
    Launch of the Fruthos brand juice.
    Start of partnership with the environmental NGO, SOS Atlantic Forest.

  • 2008

    Acquisition of Eisenbahn, in Blumenau (Santa Catarina), expanding the company’s presence in the premium beer segment.
    Acquisition of the Cintra beer brand.
    Launch of Itubaína Retrô long neck bottle

  • 2010

    Launch of the beer Devassa Bem Loura.

  • 2011

    Kirin Holdings Company acquires full shareholder control of Schincariol

  • 2012

    Launch of the company’s new brand in November. The name Brasil Kirin is announced to the market. Launch of the Schin No Grau and Devassa by Playboy beers.

  • 2013

    Launch of Itubaína Retrô can, Baden Baden Chocolate Beer, Fibz brand soft drink and ECCO! Energy drink.

  • 2014

    Launch of beers Baden Baden Witbier, Baden Baden 15 Anos, Eisenbahn Frosty Bison and Kirin Ichiban.

  • 2015

    New positioning of the corporate brand: "Live Your Thirst" and soft drinks: "Viva Schin." Launch of the wind farm. Launch of beers Eisenbahn Ventura, Baden Baden and Eisenbahn IPA 600ml.

  • 2016

    Launch K Energy Drink, Skinka flavor Grape, Viva Schin Pop and Eisenbahn canned beer 350ml. Repositioning Devassa brand. Eisenbahn as a sponsor of Stock Car.
